Being a math coach is something of an honor, being able to help teachers better their practices and collaboratively work together trying to meet the same goal which is student success. I'm not there to judge. I'm there as an equal to problem solve and to help teachers come up with the best ways to meet their students needs. The best part of my job is when a teacher allows me in their classroom and gives me the green light to aid them by modeling different strategies and approaches. I have such great respect for the teachers that accept and want help to better their practices and basically be the best teacher they can be. Here is a great video. Look how powerful effective coaching could be .
